Taking its inspiration from the original watch designs of the 60s and 70s, the Rochelaise is a refined harmony of curves. With its rotating internal bezel with stamped indices and its chromed applied indices on the dial at the cardinal points, it impresses with its originality and its subtlety. A dive watch to enjoy in all circumstances!
• Case diameter : 39 mm
• Length : 46 mm lug to lug
• Case thickness : 11.40 mm
• Case in 316L steel
• Bi-directional internal bezel in pressed steel
• Domed sapphire crystal
• Screw-down crown
• Miyota 9039 automatic movement
• Silicone Tropic strap or steel bracelet with personalised clasp. Lug width : 20 mm.
The Rochelaise is a subtle blend of elements from our favourite watches of the 60s and 70s – those to which we wanted to pay tribute.
Its turtle-style case is based on the rounded shapes of 70s watches and the rotating internal bezel is a throwback to the design of the ‘super compressors’ of the 60s.
Staying true to the retro spirit, the Rochelaise is perfectly matched with our new, fine-mesh bracelet in steel.
An original watch which completes the Le Forban collection and offers an all-new alternative to our early models.
Aiming for an ideal marriage of looks and comfort, we have been particularly attentive to the curves and the finesse of the Rochelaise’s case.
Due to its balanced proportions and its low profile, the Rochelaise is a unisex watch which will look good on any wrist size, in fact just like all the watches in the Le Forban range.
We have chosen a very specific manufacturing technique for the internal bezel. The indices are pressed into the metal, the resulting depth thus offering a unique aesthetic – a technique borrowed from the 60s.
The surfaces of the indices are polished to complete the aesthetic effect and maximise legibility.
And as a finishing touch, the Rochelaise is fitted with a red second-hand, a reminder of its dive-watch DNA.
The sunburst dial of the Rochelaise is fitted with vintage-inspired, chromed indices. The lack of a date window and the simplicity of the indices give a sober and perfectly balanced appearance.
A warm grey with gilt accents.
A blue-green with deep accents, echoing the colour of the waters of La Rochelle.
With its screw-down crown, the Rochelaise is designed to be water resistant to 150 metres. Its second crown, which turns the internal bezel, has been deliberately placed in an asymmetric position, giving an original but vintage-inspired charm.
To emphasise the caseback, we use the same embossing technique on all our watches. For the Rochelaise, we have chosen the motif of a marine rope in tribute to the nearby Royal Ropemaking Factory of Rochefort.
In production since 2018, the Miyota 9039 is a high-grade, Japanese automatic movement. Due to the thinness of this movement, the Rochelaise case has a particularly low profile – less than 12mm.
