A symbolic watch

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, we are proud to present our new Le Forban Sécurité Mer model – a chronograph we have named the ‘Omaha’ as a tribute to the courage of the American soldiers landing on the Normandy beaches, notably Omaha Beach, in 1944. We have tried to imagine what a water-resistant watch might have looked like at this time, and with this in mind we took inspiration from the chronographs of the forties with their gilt sub-dials, large numerals and their ‘pear’ crowns.
