Our aim was to unite tradition, innovation and elegance – a task which was far from plain sailing.
We battened down the hatches and repelled all boarders until we had created this watch with its neo-vintage looks – a worthy heir to its renowned forebears.
The Malouine is elegant, reliable and robust – displaying its heritage proudly. Its design brings together the timeless lines of the legendary divers’ watches of the sixties with the demands of the latest generation of seafarers and urban pirates – which you undoubtedly are !
The Malouine is set to be the signature timepiece of those who like to follow their own course.
The Malouine has been designed to fit all wrist sizes. The shape of the case is ergonomic and extremely comfortable to wear.
As a tribute to veterans of the deep, we have chosen to decorate the caseback with a diving helmet.
The Malouine, with its screw-down crown, is rated at 150m water resistance and, in keeping with its diving watch DNA, has a 120 – click unidirectional bezel.
But of course you don’t need to be a diver to wear it, its fine qualities are just as suited to those whose feet remain firmly planted on dry land.
In watchmaking, the dial is considered the face of the watch. The Malouine’s dial has an elegant silver ring inspired by the model of 1972 and with the discreet blue, white and red of the French flag it proudly displays its origins.
Two dial colours with matching bezels are available :
An intense black with a deep and high-contrast finish.
A blue with a subtle, light-catching sunburst finish.
In keeping with the style of vintage watches, we have fitted the Malouine with a double-domed, sapphire crystal.
Sapphire crystals are used in high quality watches for their durability and scratch-resisting qualities.
The well tried and tested Miyota 8215 movement has been manufactured in Japan since 1977. It is rightly considered a very reliable and robust movement.
Whether in daylight or at night, your watch remains legible due to the use of Super-Luminova® C3, the brightest lume on the market.
Designed to remain legible in the deepest abyss, the luminous material will also prove useful to night owls navigating the shadows…
What could be more appropriate for the Malouine than a Tropic, the iconic strap which adorned so many famous dive watches of the sixties ? We have designed and developed our own Tropic, including the buckle, specifically for our watches. Rubber has been replaced with lighter and more flexible silicone, so as to provide maximum comfort.
