The well-known wristwatch Youtuber ‘Frank Sans C’ has teamed up with Le Forban Sécurité Mer for the release of a special edition of the Marseillaise. A sporty and elegant addition to the Marseillaise range, this edition is fitted with a sunburst blue dial signed ‘Made in Frank’ and the watch is paired with a new, navy blue ‘Frank Sans C’ Dive Bund® strap. It took several meetings with Frank to get the colours – blue and white – just right, the same as used in all the collaborations of the N°1 francophone Youtuber, who is also among the top 3 in Europe with over 500,000 followers.

Our watches are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of shipment. This covers manufacturing defects in the movement, hands, case or dial. It does not cover damage resulting from negligence (lack of care, accidents, misuse, etc.) or natural wear and tear.

A HISTORIC CASE

Le Forban Sécurité Mer is one of the few brands to have developed several watches housed in the so-called 'Monnin' case, including a series for the French Navy. This case, created in 1979, bears the name of French watchmaker Georges Monnin, who produced it on behalf of the prestigious Swiss brand Heuer. The Monnin case has now resurfaced in the Le Forban Sécurité Mer range with the Marseillaise, all new but faithful to the DNA of its predecessors.

An improved design

With a thickness reduced from 13mm to less than 12mm, a diameter reduced from 42mm to 40.8mm and a length from lug to lug of 46mm, the Marseillaise is more elegant and easier to wear than the vintage model, while still retaining its identity.

A diver's DNA

With its improved water resistance of 250m (instead of 200m), La Marseillaise is a true diving watch. It incorporates all the traditional features: a 120-click unidirectional diving bezel, an ultra-legible 'diver' dial, 'arrow' hands and a Lollipop seconds hand.

Le Forban Sécurité Mer watches bear names that pay tribute to French maritime cities that have marked history. The "Marseillaise" celebrates the legendary Phocaean city of Marseille, a historic port on the Mediterranean coast and the oldest city in France. The birthplace of scuba diving, it was the site of the very first underwater archeology, led by Jacques-Yves Cousteau in the 1950s (the wreck of a Roman galleon near the Grand Congloué island, just off the coast).
And let's not forget it is also the French national anthem, "La Marseillaise"...
